Whisper a Prayer

Sometimes the biggest prayers have the fewest words.” Tama Fortner

I read this today and it resonated with me. I thought of how often I pray with few words but with a heart full of need. Elegant words or elaborate prayers are not needed to talk to God. Conversing with the One who is present, can be as simple as offering a quick, “Help!” or a breath prayer as we go about our day. Welcome God into your day with a breath prayer. We have a promise of continual presence.

“I will never desert you, nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you !” Hebrews 13:5b (AMP)

Welcome God into your day with a breath prayer.

God’s presence never leaves us even when we feel far away because of a hectic or chaotic day. We can whisper a gratitude prayer, “Thank you” or a request prayer, “Lord, I need you”. I often whisper a short prayer in the middle of a busy day. When the day turns dark and I am waiting to fall asleep, I look back on all I did and see that divine aid came. I was not alone but held.

Welcome God into your day with a breath prayer.

God is always present in our stressful days, bad news days, and fearful days and even in days when we question. Those are times we can whisper a prayer.

We cannot go anywhere away from the Present One.

God is with you

Whisper a prayer with in the morning, in the middle of the day and before drifting off to sleep. No part of our day is hidden. We can speak a gratitude prayer or a murmur for divine help.

Sometimes the most heartfelt prayers are made up of groans that cannot be expressed in words. A merciful Heavenly Father hears and is moved by our cries.

“Sometimes the biggest prayers have the fewest words.” Tama Fortner

We cannot go anywhere from the Almighty’s presence.

The offer of continual presence by a loving God brings peace, hope and comfort in the middle of a hectic or chaotic day.

Whisper a prayer

Here is a short prayer to whisper:

Dear All Present God,

May you go before me to lead, may you go behind me to protect, may you go beneath me to strengthen, may you go beside me to befriend and may you go around me to comfort.

Amen
