Sacred Places – musings of a chaplain

About

Does God feel distant or unreachable?

You are not alone. The noise and busyness of our day-to-day life can make it difficult to hear or see God presence.

But God meets us where we are in all our questions about God and about our life struggles such as relationship conflicts, sickness, fear, loneliness, grief and even death.

Join me as I accompany ordinary people in their seasons of challenge, struggle, and loss as I serve as an inner-city hospital chaplain and hear their inspiring stories.  I hope through these vignettes you will gain a new awareness of God at work and see unexpected glimpses of the God who loves you.

God does not always work as I expect. Have you noticed that, too? God meets us where we are; those places become sacred places.

For the sake of confidentiality, names, details and at times circumstances, are changed to protect the identities of the individual or their families. Despite the changes, I have remained true to the spirit of each chaplain visit.
